Goodreads Synopsis:Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…
Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.
Something worse than the Arum has come to town…
The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.
But then everything changes…
I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…
Are you comfortable? No? Go grab a copy of Onyx and get comfortable because this is one book you don't want to miss!
Daemon is out to prove that he really does care for Kat because she (for some crazy notion) can't believe him. And ohhh you cannot challenge a guy like Daemon to something and not expect some grand gestures. Add in a new guy to the mix and lets just say some MAJOR sparks are going to fly...and maybe some fists or two. Maybe. See if a guy like Daemon is working this hard for you believe in his feelings then it HAS to be true. It HAS to be true because we all know that guys as bad, hot, smoking, incredible *slaps myself back to reality* sorry about that as I was saying a guy like Daemon does not do this lightly.
I really liked this one. Drama, a love triangle, the exploration of possible powers! All in one neat package? Yeah, sign me up for that! Remember the brother that Daemon had that died? Get ready for a jaw dropping revelation on that account. Oh and torture, yeah it has some of that as well, but I bet you'll never guess who the one being tortured is. I don't think I even need to say more. If the above paragraph didn't convince you to read Onyx (and Obsidian) I don't know what will but *sing songs* you're missing out.
