Goodreads Synopsis:
A zombie who yearns for a better life ends up falling in love—with a human—in this astonishingly original debut novel.

R is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. He doesn’t enjoy killing people; he enjoys riding escalators and listening to Frank Sinatra. He is a little different from his fellow Dead.

Not just another zombie novel, Warm Bodies is funny, scary, and deeply moving

My Thoughts:
If the movie is half as good as good as the book...

From the first sentence I knew this book was going to be more than great. The first sentence made me laugh. R is that character that even though he's a creature that can kill you for breakfast you can't but want to hug him and make him your new bff. Everything about him was so genuine. Yeah he's a zombie that would eat your brains but at least he's not lying about it. He doesn't remember anything about himself other than the fact that his name starts with an R. He doesn't want to eat you but can't help himself... that is until he meets her. They say love can change a man but wow that is one heck of a change! R's inner monologue is hilarious. Especially when he's around her. Most thoughtful father/zombie EVER! Aha! Caught your attention didn't I?

I usually absolutely loathe love at first sight beginnings (because I don't believe its actually love) but in Warm Bodies it fit so well I couldn't complain. I mean it's love so strong it literally changes him at first sight! It's crazy and amazing and just...I can't even think of another word!

I seriously have no complaints about this book. The plot was engaging. So engaging I finished it in record time, I think. Even my younger brother was interested in it ( I was reading it to him and wanted me to stop so that he could shower! ) and he doesn't like to read! That says volumes on its own, trust me.

I have two reasons for reading it. 1. I've been curious about it when so many people were taking about it. 2. The movie. I told my brother I wanted to watch it but haven't had time so far. Would I recommend? HECK YEAH!! Read it if you haven't already because it's astonishingly brilliant!

Goodreads Synopsis:
After a car accident--an event he considers a prank gone bad--pop star, Hunter Kennedy is forced to hide out with his aunt in small-town Colorado. He’s supposed to rest, heal his scars and attend high school in disguise until the press dies down. But he only wants to get back to work.

Worse, the girl who’s been assigned to make him over into a geek is a major geek herself. Vere Roth is a chattering pixie, a blushing tornado and a complete social disaster. He’s never met a girl who’s never-been-kissed, believes in romance and thinks Hunter’s a 'nice' guy.

Funny thing is...Hunter is nice around Vere because she’s his first real friend. He also can’t seem to stop sharing his secrets or keep her out of his heart. Knowing he’d never deserve a girl as sweet as Vere, he resigns himself to the friend zone, and helps his new bestie with her own makeover.

She tortures him daily for ridiculous guy advice on how to snag her life-long crush. A guy Hunter thinks is totally wrong for Vere, and sadly, one who has taken note of Vere’s transformation.

When Vere asks her best friend for some kissing advice, Hunter can’t resist...

And that’s when things get out of control...

High School Romance, first love, sweet romance

My Thoughts:
I'd forgotten how much I loved this genre! Thanks for reminding me, Anna!

So we have the rock star who does a few really stupid things and gets sent off to some relative to hide out. Of course he needs help so said relative ( in this case the aunt) asks her neighbors to help out which is where all the fun commences! Hunter ( the rock star) is such a great character because I feel like these are the issues that a lot of teenagers go through in real life with single parents. Not only that but I feel like its something child actors go through as well ( although they don't talk about it). I mean who wouldn't go a little crazy when you basically have no say in your own life?! Psh I know I would! While living with his aunt he got to be normal and see that not everyone is out to get something from him. I blamed the mother for a big chunk of his crazy because all she had to do to help was talk to him but she decided that being his manger was better. I absolutely LOVED Vere! She was so adorable in all her dorky glory and the fact that she's one of the few who isn't into helping Hunter for anything is amazing! She's not a shrieking fangirl ( she even kind of hates his music) is even better! I loved that she was still oblivious to his regard for her.

I liked how the story was cut up into parts to show us Hunter's change throughout the book ( because it's a HUGE change). As soon as I got my copy I read as much as I possibly could (I probably finished it in less than less than 6 hrs even though is pretty big) because it was just that good! I loved reading about the change while it was happening that the fact that I got both of their POV's just added to it that much more!

A very sweet and adorable read. Such a great light read for when your in that "aww" mood! Highly recommend it!

Goodreads Synopsis:
No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it

My Thoughts:
WTF?! Seriously! This is the mother of all cliffhangers! I'm speechless! I can't even think if anything to say. No I do have one thing to say: HURRY UP WITH BOOK 4!

Goodreads Synopsis:
Global warming is playing havoc on Earth, and when 17 year-old Haley tumbles to a parallel world, she discovers that Earth’s issues stem from a war between the Eyids, the gods of nature. Because her necklace is a stone that holds the power of the Air Eyid, Haley is called upon to stop the war

But Haley has a problem. Actually, two problems. One named Tuggin, and one named Ian.

Both lie to her. Both have secrets. And neither are who they say they are. With her stone of power, Haley’s forced to make a choice that will decide the fate of all the worlds. But who should she trust, who should she fight, and who is the one with fire in his blood bent on betraying them all?

My Thoughts:
Wow! Not was I was all.

Haley. Your typical high school student. Crush on the hot guy. Bit of an outsider. Doesn't feel particularly special until Tuggin. I'm telling you that Tuggin made me want to back hand many, many MANY times. Yeah hes that sort of character. The kind you love to hate but still find him a bit endearing. But only a tiny bit because you can see through his armor when he lets his guard down enough. Ian on the other hand was not what I expected. Freaking incredible that Ibitz managed to surprise me with these two guys because I'm usually right on.

With Tuggin leading the way there is no way you would be bored because that guy is just so...ahh! I mean if he ever tries to tie me up, there'll be hell to pay! I did feel like it was separated into three volumes. The time with Tuggin and the time with Ian. Now that's only two you say? Yes built the third I'll leave as a happy surprise. I'm being cryptic and mean for say? Yeah, probably. But! There is a but! But, it'll be worth it! Trust me!

Ok yeah I'm going to admit it, there were a few things that confused me a little. The biggest thing was Tuggin and his people. I'm not going to lie, I re-read the passages about him and his people a few times. In my defense though, the guy is confusing! In other cases I just had to bring my reading speed to limit because I was missing key passages that explained it.

It's a good read. I enjoyed it very much and I was presently surprised by this world so yeah I would recommend it.

Goodreads Synopsis:
Ren and Axel are caught between two powerful magical races: one destined to end the bloodshed, the other out for vengeance.

Seventeen-year-old Ren Pernell is prophesied to end the war between the Dracians and the Telalians. So when a Dracian, Axel Knight, is sent to find and bring back the prophesied one before she turns eighteen and Telalians discover of her existence, unexpected sparks start to fly between the two. Once Ren finds the truth behind Axel’s arrival, she wants everything to do with him and nothing to do with his mission.

Things prove to become difficult as Ren’s life is constantly threatened by the Goarders, humans who sold their souls, a Proxy Succubi, and the leader of the Telalians, who has been searching for her as well.

With the clock ticking and Ren’s life in jeopardy, it is no longer just a mission for Axel. It becomes a personal endeavor to save the only one he’s ever loved. In a heart racing ending, they must find a way to evade the preordained war that won’t also end Ren’s life.

My Thoughts:
Reminded me of I Am Number Four.

The internal monologue that runs throughout its pretty hilarious! Ren is a hilarious character although she can be pretty dense sometimes. I mean all this talk about an Echo and ahh here I go about to spool the book! Lets just say she can be pretty dense. I liked her though because she reminds me of a young lady but age and who acts pretty much the same as Ren. Axel on the other have I almost immediately loved. What other bad boy have you read about that blushes? Or gets nervous? How cute! They can't all be perfectly confident in everything right? Of course we have the love triangle. In this case it's the ever cocky Dean. Ladies watch out for him! The one thing that bugged me was that Ren would feel bad about Axel and would jump Dean. Not cool, Ren. Between Axel and Ren though I got a strong sense of insta-love. Yep they hang a few days and BAM! she fancies herself already half in love with Axel.

You know when you watch those horror movies where the MC is home alone with a homicidal maniac and you're yelling at her to run? Yep I wanted to yell at Ren to run sometimes! Run from Dean ( although it'd be kind of hard since he lives next door) because he's obviously not good for her (as a bf). Run from the crazy kid who says he's got powers. But alas, I have to admit that these as always the most entertaining to watch because we know that in the end the MC will find a way to escape the crazy!

The half was a bit slow. Nothing is really happening except for the love triangle but then in the second half you won't be able to put it down! All the juicy stuff starts to happen! I really would've loved to read about any previous encounters between Axel and Ren for her to be so annoyed by him in the beginning. That and to know how she she calmly took all the info that Axel gave her without freaking out even a little!

Overall, I would say read it because it's very entertaining. It'll make you laugh and swoon and even make you a little sad but it's a great read.
