What Martha will be doing for 2013.

Hello my lovelies,

Happy New Year! Can you begin to believe it's already 2013? :O CRAZY! So many things are to come this year! I'll be turning 23. Hopefully moving out of my parents house and to another city to continue my studies. I'll be attempting to read 150 books. BooksBooks&MoreBooks Blogoversary. Ahhh so much more that even I don't have planned! *shivers* oof I'm getting excited for this year already and it's barely the first day!

This year I will be participating in a couple challenges:
2013 TBR Pile Reading Challenge hosted by Evie at Bookish.
Welcome to 2012 TBR PILE Reading Challenge!!!
Here are the details:
We all have those books. We buy them, win them, they're gifted to us.. Then we put them up on a bookshelf and there they stay, collecting dust, waiting for the time when we'll finally decide to pick them up..
Join us on a quest to dust off your TBR Pile and read all the books you've been telling yourself you'll read next time you'll get a chance.. This is your chance! And we've got PRIZES!!! :D
Challenge Guidelines:
This challenge will run from Jan 1, 2013 - Dec 31, 2013.
Anyone can enter! You don't have to be a blogger, as long as you review the book you've read! (On your blog, Amazon or Goodreads/Shelfari!)
Any genre, length or format of book counts, as long as it is a book that's been sitting on your shelf for some time now. Only books released in 2012 and earlier! NO  2013 ARCs and 2013 fresh-off-the-press releases allowed!
You can list your books in advance or just put them in a wrap-up post. If you list them, feel free to change them as the mood takes you.
When you sign up in the linky, put the direct link to your post about joining the 2013 TBR PILE Reading Challenge. (If you don't have a blog, post about it on Facebook or Tweet!)
You can move up levels, but no moving down.
Sign-ups will be open until Dec 15, 2013, so feel free to join at any time throughout the year.
On the 20th of each month one of the hosts will post a wrap-up. Every wrap-up will have it's unique theme, a mini-challenge, a giveaway and place for you to link up your reviews from this month. For each review you link up, you will get one entry in a drawing of one book of choice from Book Depository. It's open to INTERNATIONALS. The giveaway will be open until the next wrap up post goes up! (i.e. the entire month)
If you miss a wrap-up post + giveaway, you can link up your reviews next month. Do not, however, try to link up one review twice - we will be checking ;)
December is a wrap-up for the whole year. All the book reviews you linked up January-November + the ones you'll link up in December will be entered into a HUGE giveaway - a box of books.
You don't have to follow all the hosts to join the challenge, but you do have to follow all of us to be entered in giveaways!
(how many books you're planning to read for this challenge in 2013)
1-10 - A Firm Handshake
11-20 - A Friendly Hug
21-30 - A Sweet Kiss
31-40 - Love At First Sight
41-50 - Married With Children
I myself will be attempting the "Married with Children" Level simply because I have A TON of books that are on my TBR pile and it's seems VERY do-able.

2013 Standalone Reading Challenge
Hosted by Hafash at Icey Books.
2013 Standalone Reading Challenge

To read 15 Young Adult and Middle Grade standalone novels in 2013 that are released in the United States between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013.

-YA/MG standalone novels. This means that the book can not have an announced (sometimes sequels happen unexpectedly) sequel, prequel, follow up, etc.
-This year companion novels count towards the challenge as well. Companion novels take place in the same world as a novel but usually follows the life of a different character. It can be read independently from the book that came before it.
-Released between January 1 - Decemeber 31, 2013 in the United States. If a book was previously released in another country but is being releasing in the US for the first time, it is eligible. At the same time, if you live in a country where it was previously released, but it is being released in the states for the first time - lucky you- it counts.
-Must be read in 2013 (If you own an ARC and decide to read it in 2012, it does not count)
-Can be read in any (legally) readable format: ARC, Paperback, Hardcover or e-book. Audio books do not count toward the challenge.

Britta and I will be creating a list of eligible challenge titles to get you started towards your goal. It will be available soon.

There will be a prize pack given away each month to a random participant. You gain entries into that month's prize pack by linking up to your challenge-eligible reviews (Unfortunately, prize packs are US only). There will also be giveaways on the hosts' blogs to go along with special posts with authors. And of course, there are random giveaways that we may throw in here and there! People who complete the challenge and fill out an easy form will be entered into another prize pack drawing.

This one might be a little tougher simply because most books come in a series but I will try my hardest to read the 15.

2013 Goodreads Reading Challenge:
As I said earlier my Goodreads 2013 Reading Challenge has changed from last years.
150 is my goal and I pretty sure I'll be able to do it. I've already started off the year with Goddess Interrupted (Goddess Test, #2) and Entice (The Violet Eden Chapters, # 2)
Good way to start off the challenge I think.

For the blog:
I'll be trying a few different things to make the blog better.
Last year (eep! Last year! still weird!) I added 4 amazing new bloggers to BB&MB and I'm sure ya'll will get to read a great many more reviews and such from them. I'm glad I have them because they bring such a diversity to the blog that was sorely lacking before. :D
-More interviews with great authors.
-More giveaways!
-New Memes to see what I'm up to and what I'm reading.
-A few surprises that I'll share with you later ;P
-A revamp to the blog look.

Well those are the goals I'm aiming for this year. Make sure you keep a look out because it's going to be SPECTACULAR and MORE BOOKISH! :D
